Welcome to Next Gen Hoops League. By accessing or using our website, products, or services, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our platform.
1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in NEXTGEN HOOPS LEAGUE activities involves physical exertion and athletic movement that may result in injury. These risks include, but are not limited to: sprains, strains, falls, collisions, dehydration, and other sports-related injuries.
By registering my child, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
2. Release of Liability
In consideration for my child’s participation, I release NEXTGEN HOOPS LEAGUE, its owners, directors, coaches, staff, volunteers, referees, contractors, and facility partners from any claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of injuries, losses, or damages related to participation in league activities, practices, clinics, training sessions, or games.
This release applies to ordinary negligence, not intentional misconduct.
3. Medical Authorization
I authorize NEXTGEN HOOPS LEAGUE staff to administer basic first aid if necessary and to secure emergency medical care if I cannot be reached.
I agree that I am responsible for any medical expenses incurred from illness or injury.
4. Behavioral Expectations
All players and parents must demonstrate respect toward:
• Coaches
• Officials
• Staff
• Teammates
• Opponents
• Spectators
Unsportsmanlike conduct, harassment, fighting, verbal abuse, or refusal to follow league rules may result in removal from games, suspension, or dismissal without refund.
Parents agree not to coach from the sideline.
5. League Rules & Compliance
NEXTGEN HOOPS LEAGUE uses a developmental rule system designed to teach spacing, IQ, and intentional basketball habits. These include, but are not limited to:
• Modified scoring
• 5-pass minimum
• 5-dribble limit
• Mandatory modern actions (DHO, PnR, backdoor cuts)
• Spacing rules
• Backdoor = 3 points
• Charges = +1 point
• Player development focus
All players and parents agree to comply with these rules and support the league’s developmental mission.
6. Media Release
I grant permission for NEXTGEN HOOPS LEAGUE to use photos, videos, and audio recordings of my child for promotional, marketing, educational, and league-related purposes.
No personal information (address, phone number, etc.) will be shared.
7. Payment Terms & Refund Policy
All registrations must be paid in full to secure a roster spot.
Refund Policy:
• All sales are final.
• No refunds for missed games, practices, scheduling conflicts, or player decisions.
• No refunds if a player is removed due to behavioral issues.
• Credits may be issued only if the league is canceled or interrupted by circumstances beyond our control.
8. Attendance & Playing Time
I understand that consistent attendance is essential for development and fairness. Excessive absences may result in limited playing time. Playing time is not guaranteed and may vary depending on effort, behavior, attendance, and team needs.
9. Health & Fitness Certification
I certify that my child is physically able to participate safely in basketball activities and has no medical conditions that would restrict participation.
If my child has any relevant medical issues (injuries, asthma, allergies, etc.), I will disclose them in writing before participation.
10. Facility Rules
Parents and players agree to follow all facility policies, including:
• Parking rules
• Court access
• Conduct and behavior
• Cleanliness
• Safety instructions
Failure to comply may result in removal from the facility.
11. Illness / COVID-19 Clause
I agree not to bring my child to games or events if they are experiencing symptoms of contagious illness. I release NEXTGEN HOOPS LEAGUE from liability related to potential exposure to illness.
12. Intellectual Property Protection — Trademark, Copyright & Proprietary Systems
NEXTGEN HOOPS LEAGUE™, including the following, is legally protected intellectual property:
• League name
• Logo and branding
• Website content
• Written materials
• Official rule book
• Modified scoring system
• 5-pass and 5-dribble structure
• Spacing rules
• Mandatory action rules (DHO/PnR/backdoor)
• Player development framework
• Player evaluation system
• Player report card system
• Training methods
• Unique league format and structure
• Operational procedures
• All teaching concepts and diagrams
**These systems are proprietary and trademarked.
They may NOT be copied, reproduced, used, or distributed without written permission.**
This includes:
• Recreational leagues
• AAU teams
• Trainers
• Coaches
• Facilities
• Camps
• Competing programs
Legal Consequences for Unauthorized Use
Any attempt to copy or implement NEXTGEN HOOPS’ proprietary rules, branding, developmental systems, formats, training structure, or evaluation tools may constitute:
• Trademark infringement
• Copyright infringement
• Trade secret misappropriation
• Breach of intellectual property law
NEXTGEN HOOPS LEAGUE aggressively protects its IP and may pursue legal action, including cease-and-desist orders, monetary damages, and litigation.
By registering, you acknowledge and agree that NEXTGEN HOOPS LEAGUE’s systems are protected and may not be replicated.
13. Acknowledgment of Understanding
By completing registration, I acknowledge that I have read and understood this entire Terms, Conditions, Waiver, and Intellectual Property Agreement.
I understand that by agreeing electronically, I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to sue for ordinary negligence.
I agree to these terms on behalf of myself and my child.
